Brief Bio: Pastor Frank Honeycutt
A native of Chattanooga, Tenn., Pastor Frank is a 1979 graduate of Clemson University in Elementary/Special Education. Before arriving in Walhalla, Frank served in rural, small town and inner city settings ranging from the Shenandoah Valley to Abingdon, Va., to Columbia, S.C. Frank and his wife, Cindy (an English teacher), have been married more than 30 years and have three adult children — Hannah, Marta and Lukas. An avid hiker and lover of bicycling, Frank received the Bedenbaugh Distinguished Alumni Award from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in 2001 and graduated from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago in 1998 with a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching. He is the author of six books and numerous magazine articles. "I preach many sermons with the skeptic in mind, assuming there is much more doubt in the pews on Sundays than many pastors are willing to admit."
