Caring for St. John's Members In Need

Bereavement Meals –  Depending on what the family of the deceased desires, St. John’s volunteers prepares refreshments for the family and friends.  This is always done beautifully with respect and consideration by everyone involved with this committee.

Chefs I & II –  This program truly speaks volumes about the volunteers working in these groups.  They give of their time, talent, and money to provide a good nutritional meal for congregational shut-ins and new mothers-to-be.  Chefs I does this on the 1st Thursday of the Month and Chefs II does it on the 3rd Thursday of the month.

Transportation Committee - Coordination of transportation for congregation members in need.

Wednesday Lunch  -  It is a time for sharing good food and good fellowship.  This activity is not exclusive to the congregation.  Non-members are also welcome to come and enjoy our wonderful church.

Christmas Eve Meals – This ministry reaches out to members of St. John's unable to leave their homes as well as many other residents of Oconee County. is one that truly gets the message out to the shut-ins and people in our community that God is alive and well and working through members of St. John’s.  Meals are prepared by volunteers and delivered by volunteers with joy in their hearts and a smile of their face.
